DAVID YOUNG:

David has been Principal Physiotherapist at the Pennant Hills Physiotherapy Centre since 1988, developing a strong reputation in the provision of high quality physiotherapy services to the Hills district and wider Sydney community. David has enjoyed living in the Pennant Hills area with his family for over twenty years with strong community ties to local schools, Churches and businesses.

David graduated from Sydney University in 1983 and completed post graduate studies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 1987. David is also a titled Sports Physiotherapist. His special interests include muscle and joint problems, sports and work related injuries and men's continence.

David is a consultant for WorkCover NSW and has been providing independent physiotherapy opinions regarding work related injuries to the workers’ compensation industry for over ten years. He is also an Assessor for the Motor Accidents Authority and is available for CTP independent assessments.

David has been involved in clinical education for physiotherapy students since 1986. Pennant Hills Physiotherapy is a site for clinical education for NSW physiotherapy students.

David is excited about his vision for leading the team of highly skilled physiotherapists at the Pennant Hills Physiotherapy Centre as they continue to provide a high quality physiotherapy service to their clients.

Merren Coad

MERREN COAD

B. APP.SC (PHTY)

Merren graduated from the University of Sydney in 1996 and has worked in hospitals and private practice in Sydney and in the UK.

Merren is a keen sportsperson and has a strong interest in treating all sporting injuries including those arising from ball sports, running, cycling and gymnastics. She has served on the NSW Sports Physiotherapy Committee of the Australian Physiotherapy Association for 5 years and lectured on foot and ankle injuries. Merren has completed accredited level 1, 2 and 3 sports courses.

Merren has also developed a special interest in low back pain, pelvic girdle and hip pain and has completed further training in Pilates and the treatment of pelvic floor. She has taught Pilates programs since 2005 and incorporates these core stability principles into her treatment.

Merren has a passion for helping people of all ages recover from injury and achieve their goals.

Ann Vouden

ANN VOUDEN

B APP SC (PHTY), GRAD DIP APP SC (MANIP PHTY)

Ann Vouden has nearly 30 years clinical experience in both public and private practice settings. This has included providing physiotherapy to members of the Defence Force for 9 years.

Ann graduated from Sydney University in 1986 and also completed a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1993. Ann is a titled APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

Ann’s expertise includes assessment and treatment of spinal, shoulder and knee injuries as well as women’s health issues and a wide range of sports injuries.  

Ann plays netball and soccer and enjoys bushwalking and sailing. She is involved in Sailability a "not for profit", volunteer-based organisation which facilitates sailing and boating activities for people with disabilities.

Deborah Young is the Practice Manager of the Pennant Hills Physiotherapy Centre and will be able to assist you

Deborah is assisted by Julie McIntyre who provides reception and administrative support. Julie will also be able to answer any questions you may have about our services.
